Trauma and PTSD can affect anyone. It is not solely experienced by the armed forces or emergency personnel. It can be described as a normal reaction to an abnormal event. Trauma can be triggered by loss, accident, injury, assault, or just witnessing an event beyond the normal range of experience. Trauma and PTSD are unequivocally NOT the result of weakness or character flaw. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD by your GP, experience recurring intrusive thoughts or nightmares about a particular incident or feel hyper-vigilant and constantly on edge, then I may be able to help. I am experienced in the use of a technique call EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing which has brought relief to traumatised people world wide for a number of years.
