In the sessions we will explore what it means to be assertive and will work together to give you the tools, confidence and resilience necessary to stand up for yourself and set clear and fair boundaries.  Contrary to what you may believe, assertiveness is not necessarily about getting what you want by being forceful or bullying. 

Assertiveness means having the internal resources to express needs clearly and calmly, whilst being able to accept negative responses. 

It can be a tricky balancing act at times as reactions can be 'programmed' from a young age, but this well meaning conditioning can be amended in adult life to ensure you interact with others confidently and calmly.
